JOHN 3:11 (NIV) I tell you the truth, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony.
Growing up for me was rather painful and lonely. I have always been a loner, mostly because I felt like I never fit in. I never felt accepted by anyone.(Years later I realized it was me...I couldn't accept myself!) I felt an overwhelming amount of fear, anger and eventually became suicidal. My first encounter with Jesus was right after taking all kinds of pills. I was in some sort of "blackout" (sleep) for about two days. During that time I saw what I perceived to be Jesus. Jesus said to me "It is NOT your time yet, child!" He sounded angrily concerned. I received help. This was my first encounter.
These stories are true accounts of encounters with God . Encounters I have had with Jesus. My name is Carol Elkin and these are my testimonies.
It was in the early 90's, I had just started reading the bible(or should I say trying to read the bible) but fear took hold over me and I didn't have anyone to explain what certain scriptures meant. I was scared and confused. I mean I was petrified not knowing whether I was going to Heaven or Hell. It weighed on my soul like a ton of cement! Before I cried myself to sleep, I prayed practically begging God to tell me which way I was headed. I NEEDED to KNOW! That night I had a dream....I was floating in some misty clouds but I was only about one foot off of the ground. I was floating through some sort of maze and I heard a calm,mild, strong yet gentle voice say: " You are on your way to heaven."
In the early 90's I had a dream of Jesus in a white robe walking on the ocean at night time. The ocean waves were a little rocky. Jesus turned to me and smiled, extended his hand toward me and said: "The road will be rocky, but if you follow me....I will guide you through it."
